I am bi-racial by the way but look more Hispanic. I was just happy to find you. There is nothing else out there that I could find that will help people like you do. I am a Sophmore and have been hearing about all of these cuts. I was wondering how this impacts Hispanic people. My classmates are all concerned. I am concerned. Please help.

Thank you for this. I was not getting any help for teachers here. They were nice but overwhelmed plus I am a little shy. What you gave me helped point me in the right direction. Thank you again. Ariel
Good evening! I appreciate your concern. The threat of cutting federal funding from educational institutions who utilize DEI policies is impacting minorities of all races. It is an attempt to uneven the playing field for minority students. I completely understand that this is an uncertain time but you cannot let fear prevent you from achieving your dreams. I encourage you to stay encouraged and persevere.
Additionally, here is some helpful information for the college admissions process offered by my organization:
Check other parts of the AADHE website: This website offers numerous information on almost everything you need to know when applying to college as a minority student. I highly suggest you start with the Black Up Plan. This plan explains the necessary components needed to get into a good college.
Take a look at our forum: The AADHE forum is an interactive hub for anyone to share their thoughts and concerns regarding higher education for African Americans and other minorities. I recommended that you check out some of my answers to other members like you for helpful information.
Follow us on social media: AADHE would really appreciate your continued support on social media. We post weekly on college admissions advice and, major events regarding DEI and Affirmative Action. You can find us on Instagram and X.
I hope that this information will help you in your college admissions journey. Remember to not let these recent events stop you from achieving all you set out to do. You have a bright future ahead of you. Keep up the good work!
