Thank you for reaching out Rianna! Do not worry. There is a solution.
When applying for the FAFSA, you must add at least one parent. My suggestion is that you add your mother onto the application and ask her if you can fill out her portion yourself. Having applied for the FAFSA myself, I've noticed that both the student's and the parent's section is not as complex as people may realize. If your mother agrees, she can give you her basic information (email, phone number, social security, etc.). Also to make things easier, your mother can agree to the FAFSA uploading all of her financial information in a matter of seconds. This saves a lot of time. In regards to your father, there is an option on the FAFSA that you can select to let the Federal Student Aid (FSA) know that your father is not involved. I recommend you check out this link on the Federal Student Aid website and scroll down to the section "Can't Provide Information Due to an Unusual Circumstance". This will give you important information on completing the parent section of the FAFSA.
Additionally, I highly recommend that you apply for some scholarships. There multiple good databases that offer a plethora of scholarship opportunities. Please check out the Scholarships/Grants page on our website. You will also find the link to the Federal Student Aid website on there as well.
I understand that financial aid deadlines are coming soon but do not stress. Continue to keep your priorities straight and do your best. Please let me know if this helps.đ
